Attappady, Palakkad
Situated on the north-east of the district and spread over 827 sq km, Attappady is one of the largest tribal settlements in the State. The symphony of forests, rivers and mountains here is remarkable.
Tribals like the Irulas and the Mudugas live here, though their density of population is low. the are worshippers of the mountain peak "Malleeswaran' as a huge 'Siva-linga'.
